I come here at least 3 times a week whilst working away in Birmingham. Everything from the coffee, food, venue and staff are amazing. They roast their own coffee beans here and the baristas know how to make an amazing flat white. The cakes are delicious too, many of which are vegan (which I didn't think I'd like). Definitely one the best independant coffee shops in Birmingham Central. Come here for a quick chat, meeting or just to get work done, it's a winner!

Good food but not outstanding and a little overpriced. We had their full English which came in the frying pan and the fried chicken and bacon on waffles with maple syrup, which was over sweet. Syrup served separately would have been better. The long black coffee was ok but came in a short little cup. Their cakes looked really nice but we didn't have any. The atmosphere was nice and along with the trendy decor, it's a pleasant place to have breakfast.

I love Yorks, but disappointed with my visit today. My first server was amazing and really friendly, the food was great but was distracted by the slightly too loud background music and the slamming of the front door. After getting a second drink, I noticed around 10 small flies all on the open air cakes - in particular the coconut and gooseberry slices! Has put me off having anything open air now - stick to the food off the menu! Other than that great cafe in a great location. Usually 10/10!

Taste: Quite enjoyed the overall taste of the food. I had the avocado feta toast which was seasoned well and i managed to finish it easily. There wasn’t much on the plate to begin with really /: Service: Horrendous. The ladies at the counter didnt even acknowledge us when we walked in let alone say hello or guide us to seats/menus. We stood around looking confused after seeing no available seating on the ground floor for probably 20 seconds until the woman told us there was seating downstairs. Overall did not feel welcome from the second i walked in and its a shame because the food was decent.

A nice city centre cafe with aspirations of being a restaurant. The food is pretty good. The cakes are fantastic. The coffee is good, but not always well made. Still, one of the best places to go in the city centre ☕️ 🍰👍🏼
